Biography
Jodie Campbell was elected to Launceston City Council as an Alderman in 2002 and Deputy Mayor in 2005.Jodie was educated at Invermay Primary School, and Brooks and Ravenswood High Schools. She worked as a receptionist and legal secretary before becoming a team leader in corporate support at the Ansett call centre in Launceston.
Jodie served as a union delegate at the call centre, leading the campaign to recover the entitlements of workers upon the collapse of Ansett.
Jodie is a Board Member of Stewart Child Care Services and of Early Years Parents and Friends. She is also a Member of Zonta International, a Patron for Trevallyn Tennis Centre, and Advocate for Ravenswood Community Garden.

Name Derivation:Named after Dr George Bass (1771-1803), an early settler and explorer.
Area and Location Description: Bass covers an area of approximately 7 343 sq km from Launceston in the south to Flinders Island in the north. The City of Launceston and its suburbs, and the towns of Bell Bay, Bridport, George Town, Lilydale, Legana (part), Ringarooma and Scottsdale, as well as Cape Barren Island, Clarke Island & Flinders Island are in this division.
